The topic of your research is "Net Neutrality" and there are obviously many different ways to approach it and track the different applications.  This handout or website will direct you to a range of resources that cover the subject and direct you on how to use them efficiently and effectively, critically evaluating the information.

 

FINDING INFORMATION

 

  1. Books - searching by keyword will retrieve the most because it searches several different fields but the level of relevancy may not be as focused.  If you search by Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) and consider the following selective terms the degree of relevancy may be higher:

·        Broadband communication systems

·        Competition - Government policy

·        Internet - Government policy

·        Telecommunication policy

D.      WORLDCAT - holdings of bibliographic records in 59,000 member libraries worldwide - UCI's holdings are noted

E.       Amazon.com - online bookstore of new & used books

Journal Articles - there are several databases that index and abstract journal articles and conference proceedings/papers.  In addition there are some specialized databases for information, public opinion, news, data, government information.  Use the UC eLink icon to determine what format the full content is available in - print, digital, microform, etc.
