Catalyst’s E-Library will be the point of departure for most of your research, however remember to take full advantage of the vast array of electronic resources and services available through the UCI Libraries. Some services such as Interlibrary Loans and Document Deliver require you to activate your UCI Library card. Some other useful UCI Library websites include:

Research Tips:

  • To access these electronic resources remotely from home or office you need to connect to UCI’s virtual network (VPN).  The tech staff at the Paul Merage School of Business (949-824-4567) will assist you. The UCI Library’s Remote Access web page also explains how to connect remotely. You will need to have your UCInetID and password available.
  • Most online resources have a “Help” link from their home page to assist users with search tips.
  • Ask for help if you need it. Email or call Kristin or the librarian identified at the bottom of Catalyst E-Library Subject Guide pages. Or use the Library’s Ask a Librarian service.

Once you have identified the company or industry you want to research there are several ways to begin.
